New Identity. Stronger purpose 💜✊
We wanted to share with you today, on International Women’s Day, some exciting news about our work empowering women in Nicaragua.
First up, The Earth Education Project is now XtraOrdinary Women.
We decided it was time for our name and organization’s image to align better with what we do: empowering women, extraordinary women at that. We will be changing our name and social media handles from Earth Education Project to XtraOrdinary Women this week. Do not worry, you do not have to follow a new account, we are just changing our name so if you follow EEP, you’ll see it’s nowXtraOrdinary Women. Check out the new handle @xtraordinaryorg and follow our campaign this month, if you love it as much as we do, share it and help us spread the word.
We believe in giving an opportunity to those who have never had it. We believe in women, and in their eagerness to move their children forward. We believe in sharing knowledge that will serve and last a lifetime. We believe that work dignifies. We believe in soft skills, psycho-social support and art to inspire us.
We know an opportunity has the power to change a woman’s life, and the lives around her. Over the last 10 years we have supported hundreds of XtraOrdinary Women who have shown us the courage it takes to take a chance and the strength they have to make the change and break away from cycles of poverty and violence.
Our goal is to support 320 women this year. The 2019 courses start on March 14th. These are cost-free, include a stipend to assure assistance, and a series of milestone commitments to maintain enrollment. The programs include subjects and soft-skills such as literacy, communication, self-esteem, team-work, labor orientation, life planning, and financial planning. If you’d like to know more, have a read of this short presentation about our programmes and how you can get involved.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the support and interest you have provided over the years that has seen us through many a challenge and, celebration. Your support is helping to change the figures of extreme poverty and violence, one woman at a time.
You can check out our social media and find more details.
If you love it as much we do,share it with your friends.
